LeMoyne Evenson was born on December 16, 1926 in Cylon Township of St. Croix County, Wisconsin. He was the youngest of six children born to Martin and Hanna Evenson. He attended Edgewood School which was near his home and then graduated from the Clear Lake High School. At the age of 14 he was hauling milk cans for area farmers….then decided when he was 16 to get his driver's license. He served in the United States Army during the time between World War II and the Korean War. When his service duty was completed he returned to Deer Park and partnered with his father Martin on the farm. On June 28, 1953 he was united in marriage to Mable Zellmer in Deer Park, Wisconsin and to this union two sons were born. He spent most of his life farming near Deer Park, but was also a good mechanic but over the years he continued hauling milk too. Friends and neighbors would bring things over for him to fix and he enjoyed doing that. He was fond of old tractors and was good at keeping them running. He enjoyed driving them in the Fall Festival parades and often attended area Antique Tractor shows with his sons. The old site of the Edgewood school is located on the Evenson farm. Over the years he hosted reunion picnics for people who had been students at the school. LeMoyne passed away at Willow Ridge Healthcare in Amery on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 87 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mable, his five siblings: Ruth Bader, Alice Ness, Hannah Flanum, Ida Lentz and Carl Evenson, and sister-in-law Myrtle Lange. Surviving family members include his sons: Edwin Evenson, Irvin Evenson and his wife Candy; grandsons: Jason (Margie) Evenson and Chris Evenson; great grandchildren: Mackenzie Evenson, Alex Evenson, Landon Evenson, and Kaylee Evenson as well as other relatives and friends.



Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park, Wisconsin. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
