LeRoy Carl Anderson was born August 31, 1950 in Siren, WI to Adolph and Edith (Moline) Anderson. He attended West Sweden country school and graduated from Frederic High School. In 1973 he graduated from UW-River Falls with a bachelors degree in farm management. LeRoy farmed with his parents and on January 29, 1977 married Raylene Dodge in Bloomer, WI. LeRoy continued farming until 1986. After that he worked for a variety of agricultural related businesses. In 2001 LeRoy attended Chippewa Valley Technical College to become a truck driver. This career greatly fulfilled his love to travel and his photography hobby. LeRoy was involved in 4-H and FFA as a youth and also as an alumnus. He also served on several church boards. LeRoy was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma in April 2009. When conventional cancer treatments didn't work, he moved to San Antonio, TX to participated in a cancer research program which helped prolong his quality of life. LeRoy was called home on June 8, 2010. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Bruce. He is survived by his children: Matthew (Mary) of Wahpeton, ND; Philip (Kristy) of Clear Lake, WI; Jacob of Amery, WI; Rebekah (Josh) Bradfield of San Antonio, TX; and Abigail of Amery, WI. Grandchildren include: Breckin, Mallory, Christopher, Jonathan, and Lydia Bradfield. Also survived by his close acquaintance Raylene Anderson and numerous relatives and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 3 at 11 am at East Lincoln Alliance Church, 735 70^th Avenue County Road J, Amery with a graveside service at 3pm at West Sweden Cemetery,3446 County Road W, Frederic. Pastor Randy Schussman will be officiating.
