Linette was born on March 21, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is the daughter of John and Katherine (Butler) Chovan. She was baptized and confirmed at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park, WI. She went to grade school in Deer Park and then went to Amery High School and was a member of the class of 1972. She loved collecting antiques and enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and garage sales. Linette loved fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She liked to cook and worked numerous places as a cook, including Deer' Bar. She also worked at Plastec when that was operating in Amery. Linette died at Willow Ridge Nursing Home in Amery on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the age of 62.
She now joins family members who preceded her in death; her parents, John and Katherian (Butler) Chovan; 2 sisters, Donna Mae Chovan, and Helen Chovan Ford; brothers, Richard Chovan and Leon Chovan Sr; 2 sisters-in-law, Earlene Chovan, and Nanette Marie Chovan; a great niece, Nanette Katherian Chovan and many other relatives. Surviving family members are her Daughter AnnJanette (Cory) Haasnoot; Sons, Daniel (Melissa) Stalhiem, Jeff Claude and James Kozak; a sister, Kathyleen (Kevin) Krarup; a Brother, Donald Chovan; 7 step-grandchildren; 2 step- great grandsons as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Williamson~White Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 222 Harriman Avenue North Amery, Wisconsin 54001 with Pastor Barry Schaefer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park, Wisconsin.
