Lois Mae Knutson, age 98 of Amery, WI passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Willow Ridge Healthcare Center in Amery. She was born on May 22, 1916 in the Volga area of rural Amery to Fred and Myrtle (Preble) Ludke. Lois attended and graduated from Amery High School. After school she took a job at Conrads Grocery Store and later worked at B & B Clothing up to her retirement. Lois was united in marriage to Edward Knutson and the couple made their home in Amery. She loved gardening, cooking and baking, especially making pies, and loved to travel and dance with her husband. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; brother, Robert Ludke and sisters, Maxine Felland and Betty Stumo. She is survived by her nieces Ramona Hammons and Sharon Peterson, as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home Chapel in Amery. A visitation will be held from 12 noon-1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Amery Cemetery.
