Lois Ellen Warner was born on August 27, 1926 at her parent's home in Stanton Township in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Fred and Elsa (Bethke) DuBois. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park, WI. After graduating from high school she went to River Falls Normal School and became a teacher. On June 25, 1947 she was united in marriage to Delmond Warner and to this union four children were born. They farmed together in rural Deer Park for many years. Lois started as a rural school teacher and then took time away from teaching to raise her children. She then went back to school, got her teaching degree and taught fifth grade in Roberts for many years. She worked with 4-H as her children were growing up and was a Sunday School Teacher and active in other ways at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park. Lois was a gardener, a baker, enjoyed sewing and reading. Besides the care and love shown her family she was also very generous in supporting charities and others in need. After the death of her husband she continued living independently. She moved to Willow Ridge Healthcare just a few weeks ago and died there on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the age of 84 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Sister Helen Henke and Brother Donald DuBois. Left to mourn are her children: Duane (Joanne) Warner, Arla (David) Railsback, Walter Warner and Paul (Denise) Warner; sisters; Carol Barsch and LaVonne Hartman; nine grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Deer Park, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Williamson ~ White Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
