Obituary

Lois Aline Weaks was born on February 21, 1917 in Robert, Louisiana the daughter of Allen and Letitia Masters.
She graduated from high School in Dothan, Alabama in 1935. On April 11, 1942 Lois was united in marriage to a soldier, Thurman Weaks.
Together they had three children. Her husband spent 31 years in the Army and a an Army wife, Lois participated in many NCO Wives Club
activities. After her husband retired from the military at Fort Dix, New Jersey in 1969 they moved to Willingboro, N.J. Then in 2005 they came to Amery, Wi. to be near their two daughters. Lois was a resident at Golden Age Manor for the past four years. She passed away at Golden Age Manor on Sunday May 30, 2010 at the age of 93 years. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thurman, son, Bud Weaks, and two sisters, Florence DeWitt and Mildred Jones. Left to celebrate her life are her two daughters: Barb (Patrick) O'Mara and Glenda Miller. She leaves six grandchildren, Warren Miller, Dan (Leslie) Miller, Dan (Andrea) O'Mara, Jeannine (Mick) Carruth, Don (Kim) Weaks, Joe (Dawn) Weaks and 8 great grandchildren, Danielle and Jack Carruth, Madilyn and Jillian O'mara, Kate and Preston Weaks, Arwen and Sam Weaks as well as
other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Thursday evening, June 3, 2010 at 5 p.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery Wi. Pastor Barry Schaefer was the officiant for the service. She was interred at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wi.
