Lorene Marie Millermon was born in Adrian, Minnesota on December 27, 1915 the daughter of Wilbert and Clara (Schildt) Edler. She was Baptized on Feb. 6, 1916 in Adrian, Minnesota. In 1920 the family moved to a farm near East Farmington, Wisconsin. On August 25, 1929 she was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in East Farmington by Pastor Louis Meyer. She attended grade school at Forest View and high school in Osceola, Wisconsin and State Center, Iowa. On October 22, 1935 she was united in marriage to Burton Millermon at Zion Lutheran Church in E. Farmington and they were blessed with five children. They made their home in Amery, Wisconsin where Lorene worked at the Cornwall Clinic and later Family Medical Clinic for thirty-five years. During her lifetime she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, oil painting, and rosemalling. Spending time camping, dancing, playing cards, scrabble and reading were also things she liked to do. Lorene has been resident at Willow Ridge Healthcare Center and passed away there on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the age of 98 years.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Burton, brothers: Donald, Charles and Russell Edler; sisters: Ruby Thompson, Erma Marquand and Betty Sellman; and grandsons Michael and Rick. Surviving family members include sons: Richard (Jill) Millermon, and Keith (Linda) Millermon; daughters: Darlene Johnson, Karen (Leonard) Anderson and Mary (Kent) Munson; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; three step-children: Becky, Josh and Billie as well as other relatives and friends.
