Lorne James Nordahl went home unexpectedly to be with his Lord on June 2, 2026. Lorne was born on Aug 26, 1943 to Marvin Douglas Nordahl and Ruby Jane (Volgren) Nordahl at Wichita Falls, TX while his dad was in the Army. Lorne graduated from Amery High School in 1961.

Following graduation, he joined the US Army in August 1962 and was honorably discharged August of 1965. He met and married Kathleen Dowd on Dec. 2, 1966. To this union, 3 sons were born, John, Thomas and Luke. He felt the calling of the Holy Spirit in 1971 and endeavored to serve the Lord, preaching the Gospel from that time on. He attended Liberty University Bible School in Lynchburg, VA. He was a salesman by trade and sold a variety of commodities, dishwashers, cattle feed, cleaning chemicals, crafts, and Medicare insurance during his time here. Lorne loved to downhill ski, play golf, proclaim the Gospel, and shop the thrift stores. He had a very inventive side, if he had a need, he'd find a solution to that need. He had a hearty laugh that many would comment they knew he was there because they could hear his laughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin; mother, Ruby; brother-in-law, James Niessen; sister, Susan Fredrick and granddaughter, Hailey Nordahl and Johnny Trautmiller.

He leaves behind his wife, Inez; sons, John (Amy) Nordahl, Thomas (Deborah) Nordahl, and Luke (Tracey) Nordahl; grandchildren, Jessica Krongard, John Eckleberg, Morgan Nordahl, Maya Bredesen, Mathew Nordahl, Peter Nordahl, Leah Nordahl, Marcus Nordahl and 2 siblings of Marcus, Nixon and Isaiah.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Apple River Community Church in Amery, Wisconsin with a visitation from 9:00am until the time of the service at the church.
