Louis Karpenske passed away on Saturday, November 21 at the age of 90. He was a resident of Amery for the past 10 years after spending the last 50 years in California. He retired from the Los Angeles Parks and Recreation Department. He served in the Army during World War II for four years as an anti-aircraft gunner stationed in the South Pacific, mostly in New Guinea and Australia. He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by one sister, Dorothy Seeley of Haslett, Michigan, many nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery on Wednesday, June 9 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM following visitation.
