Louise Arabella Massey, age 84 of Barron, WI, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2017. She passed away peacefully at her home in Barron. Louise was born on November 10, 1932 to George and Lillian Loew in Winter, WI, where she grew up and attended school. She was united in marriage to Robert Massey on June 28, 1955 in Illinois. The couple made their home in Chicago where two sons were born. In 1958 they moved to the Madison area, and were blessed with another son and a daughter. The family then moved to Michigan in 1976. After Bob's retirement, the couple started travelling and enjoyed visiting many different places. In April of 2001, they moved to Polk County and after Bob's passing in 2002, Louise made her home in the Barron area. Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Barron where she liked to be involved, and enjoyed helping others, including volunteering weekly with Ruby's Pantry. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; one brother and three sisters. She is survived by her three sons, Chris, Gregory and Peter; a daughter, Donna Stark; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a brother, James Riley. She also leaves behind a long list of friends and loved ones, and will be greatly missed. Louise had the heart of a mother, with Jesus in her eyes, and a smile that displayed the love of God. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Barron with Rev. Floyd Lunde presiding. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 am prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Rumrey Cemetery in Wheaton Township, Chippewa County, WI.
