Lovina Mae Mathews, age 90 of Centuria, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Lovina was born in Stanley, WI on December 16, 1932. She married Forrest "Frosty" Mathews on February 23, 1952 in Chippewa Falls, WI, and they raised six children together. Lovina was the Director of Food Services for the Unity School District for 35 years. She was involved in the Council of Catholic Women at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 4-H, and Scouts. During her lifetime, Lovina received many awards and honors for her accomplishments.

Lovina is survived by her children, Donald Hedrington (Sharon), Rita Sullivan (Terry), Steven Mathews (Marlene), Sally Christiansen (Wes), and Sharon Christensen (Harvy); many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest "Frosty" Mathews; son, Gary Mathews; daughter, Janice Mathews Fox and grandson Chris French

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake, WI (507 W Main St, Balsam Lake, WI 54810) with a visitation starting at 11AM. Following Mass, a burial will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery (1840 170th St, Centuria, WI 54824).
