Magdalene "Peggy" V. Schwager, age 94, passed away May 5, 2011 at Birchwood Health Care Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota. She was born in a farm house in Trimbelle, Wisconsin on January 28, 1917 to DeForrester and Gladys Poston. Magdalene "Peggy" was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dewey L. Schwager on April 6, 1987; parents DeForrester and Gladys Poston; sister Helen Bjerstedt; brother Roger Poston; nephew Gailynn Poston. She is survived by nieces Beverly (Ron) White of North Branch, MN; Norma Jean (Paul) Myers of Inver Grove Heights, MN; Barb (Paul) Fitzjarrell of Spring Valley, WI; Cynthia (Richard) Stark of Casper, WY; Karen (Mickey) Kelsey of Lewisville, MN; nephew Lynn (Diane) Bjerstedt of River Falls, WI; and several great and great-great nephews and nieces. "Peggy" lived in Milwaukee, WI for 62 years before moving to North Branch, MN. In June, 2008 Sunrise Health Services of Stacy, MN provided care so that "Peggy" could continue to live in her home. Thanks to the staff and her "special" friends: Jody Beagley, Pamela Kietzman, Tammy Psyck, Darlene Dupre, Lisa Patterson, and Dana Carlson. In December, 2010 she became a resident of Birchwood Health Care Center in Forest Lake, MN and lived there until the time of her death. Special thanks to the staff at Birchwood and Fairview Lakes Home Caring and Hospice for their wonderful care. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 4:00 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 31075 Genesis Avenue, Stacy, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
