Marianne Beth Ashlin age 65, of Amery, Wisconsin passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Amery Hospital.
Marianne was born on April 9, 1951 to Edwin and Emma (Lien) Berquam in Amery, Wisconsin. She attended grade school in Osceola and later Amery High School. In 1969 she married James Sigsworth and they had four children. Marianne worked at Golden Age Manor for a time, but worked many years as a waitress. Over the years she worked at Wayne's Café, both in Amery and St. Croix Falls. She also worked at St. Croix Casino where she met John Ashlin. On October 4, 1993 she and John were married. They made their home in rural Amery, and together worked at Farm Table Restaurant when it opened in Amery. Marianne had a strong love for Christ, which she shared with family and friends in how she lived her life. In her spare time she loved tending to her garden of plants and flowers. She was well known for being a good carpenter and always enjoyed the special time with her grandkids and family. She was an avid baker and made many birthday cakes and wedding cakes.
Marianne is survived by her husband, John; a daughter, Cindy Sigsworth-Evenson; 3 sons, Jason (Michelle) Sigsworth, James (Heidi) Sigsworth and Jeremy Sigsworth; 6 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Karen Sigsworth, Kathy (Jerome) Dolittle and Julie (Leonard) Fredrickson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Roxanne Roberts; 2 brothers, Sidney and Kevin Berquam.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Amery with Pastor Nick Buda Officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the funeral home and for the hour prior to the services at the church.
