Marie Virginia Frank was born on September 6, 1923 in Massey, Maryland the daughter of Edward and Mamie (Whitlock) Maslin. On October 30, 1940 she was united in marriage to John Turner Frank in Chestertown, Maryland and two children were born to this union. Marie lived most of her life in Maryland and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chestertown. She was also a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. After the death of her husband, John in 1990 she moved to Amery, Wisconsin. In Amery she became a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Marie passed away at Amery Regional Medical Center on Saturday June 25, 2011 following complications from a stroke.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and her siblings: Franklin, Herbert, Helen and Mary. Left to mourn are her children, Rose Marie (David) Maus of Amery, WI, and John (Jackie) Frank of Blaine, MN. She also leaves eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery with Pastor Ryan Barnes officiating. Interment will be at the Church Hill Cemetery near Chestertown, MD.
