Marie R. Ploszay (nee Breault) passed away at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN on September 1, 2013 after 90 active years of hard work that includes farming, always eating healthy, baking bread and cookies for many, raising five children, square dancing, quilting and many other sewing projects. Guillian - Barre syndrome slipped into her life and took her from us within just a few days. Marie was born in rural Somerset, WI on May 1, 1923 to Donald and Florence (Gaudette) Breault. She was united in marriage to Francis Joseph Ploszay at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin on May 22, 1945. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Thomas; sister, Marjorie (Merle) Hansen and brother, Richard (Evelyn) Breault. She is survived by daughters, Annette (Bob) Noak, Carol (Doug) Westerberg, Mary (Robert) Heiser and Joan(Jim Schullo) Naessen as well as 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren who were a special joy, and a sister, Bette (Joe) Nistler, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake, WI. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Amery Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society.
