Obituary

Marion "Mick" Christine Bjork was born on June 27, 1931 in Crosby, Minnesota. She grew up in Crosby and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Harold Ronald "Butch" Bolder on June 16, 1951 and together they had six children. Her husband Butch preceded her in death. Mick, as she was known by her friends and family, worked as a secretary and office manager for Scorpion Snowmobile Company when they started operations in Crosby. On April 30, 1968 she was married to Dennis Bjork and to this union a daughter Denys was born. They moved to New Richmond, Wisconsin where they raised their family. Mick received training to be a CNA. She did private home care for a period of time. Mick was interested in the arts and enjoyed dabbling in multi-medium art projects. She was a very accomplished quilter, and each of her grandchildren has a quilt as a keepsake from her labor of love. Family was always important to her and she really enjoyed each new baby that arrived in the family. She and Dennis have made their home in Amery for a number of years.
Mick has struggled with respiratory issues the past couple years. She was taken to the Amery Regional Medical Center on Monday, March 29. Her health issues worsened and she died on Monday evening at the age of 78 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Butch and sister Louise Weissenfluh. Left to mourn are her husband Dennis Bjork; children: Rhonda (Ted) Zontelli, Ron "Bub" Bolder, Joe (Julie) Bolder, Judy Sweet, Christine (George) Cody, John Bolder and Denys (Erik Nelson) Bjork; brother Raymond (Sandy) Rider; sisters: Dorthy (Wes) Weissenfluh, Peggy Gates and Rose (Dave) Steinke. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m from The Space at 156 High Street in New Richmond, Wisconsin. There will be a visiting time for one hour prior to the service.
