Marjorie I. Kallevang, age 93 of Amery, WI passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Amery Regional Medical Center. Marjorie Blattner was born on May 19, 1918 to Hubert and Beatrice (Rogers) Blattner in Centuria, WI. On September 23, 1939 Marjorie married Elmer Kallevang at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, IA. There were three children born to this union, James, Jean and Steven. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill and Orin and three sisters, Betty, Lucille, and Elaine. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer in 2006. Marjorie is survived by her children, James (Wanda) of Menomonie, WI, Jean of Aitkin, MN and Steven (Judy) of Chippewa Falls, WI. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; nieces, nephews and her very special friend and neighbor, Geri Brase, and many other wonderful neighbors and friends. Marjorie was the glue that held our family together and kept us all connected. She will always be loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is in a better place now and in the arms of the Lord and reunited with the love of her life, Elmer. Funeral services will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Amery at 11:00 am on Monday, August 15, 2011 with Rev. Ryan Barnes officiating. A visitation will be held the hour before the service at the church. A private family interment will be held at North Valley Cemetery in Milltown, WI at a later date.
