Mary Ellen Baker (Bursell) was born on June 15, 1945 in St. Paul, Minnesota the daughter of Duane and Marcella Bursell. She spent her early years growing up in St. Paul. She later lived in Amery, Wisconsin for several years before moving to Payson, AZ in 1979. She moved to Ft. Myers, FL, in 1989, where she lived for 25 years before moving back to Amery two years ago. Mary Ellen Baker passed away at Regions Hospital in St. Paul on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the age of 67 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and parents Duane and Marcella Bursell. Survived by daughter Lori Lowery (Andy), son Mike Hansen (Cindy), sister Connie Buelow (Jim), grandchildren Beth Meyer (David), Mikey, Ellie, and Nicky Hansen. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, at First Lutheran Church, 240 Elm St. W. in Amery.
