Mary Kay Fredrickson was born on September 14, 1958 in Amery, Wisconsin the daughter of Edwin and Betty (Felland) Fredrickson. She was Baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church and Confirmed at Deronda Lutheran Church. She grew up on the family farm and attended Amery High School graduating in 1977. She went on to attend WITC where she enrolled in the Dietary Aide program. Mary spent her lifetime in Garfield Township, and living on the farm developed a love of animals. She had several horses and enjoyed riding and caring for them and rode in a few area parades over the years. She worked at Vikron in St. Croix Falls for a period of time and then worked at Amtec in Amery. Mary enjoyed doing word searches and was also involved in pitching horse shoes. Even though she worked off the farm she still helped with feeding calves and other chores. She was always generous in her willingness to help others, especially family. When the hours got long on the farm she would take lunches to her brothers as they did their work. She had special pets, her dog Mindy and her cat Hairball, which were very important to her. Mary has struggled with health issues for several years and this past week was rushed to Region's Hospital where she passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the age of 55 years.
Her parents and sister JoAnn Maveus preceded her in death. Surviving are her siblings: Duane Fredrickson, Gary (Bonnie) Fredrickson, Tucker (Marshel) Fredrickson, Randy (Marie) Fredrickson and Sarah (Scott) Dunham; brother-in-law Roger Maveus and sister –in-law Becky Fredrickson. She also leaves nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Amery with a time of visitation the hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
