Michael Carl Vezner was born on September 21, 1948 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Douglas and Delores Vezner. He grew up in the Twin Cities and after graduating from high school, he attended the University of Minnesota. He worked as a case manager at the Corrections Facility in Stillwater. He was united in marriage to Sheryl Stensland and they moved to Amery 33 years ago. He continued commuting to work, but as a Case Manager at the Lino Lakes Corrections Facility. He retired from that job about 3 years ago. During his lifetime he enjoyed fishing and golfing when time allowed. Michael was rushed to Region's Hospital in St. Paul on Monday and passed away there on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the age of 65 years.
His parents preceded him in death. Surviving family members include his wife Sheryl; sons Donald and Kelly, two grandchildren, Dillon and Lexington as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church, 131 Broadway Street, Amery, WI. There will be a visitation at the church for the hour before the service.
