Mildred Almira Amans (nee Danielson) was born on April 16, 1925 in Amery, Wisconsin the daughter of Oscar and Edna (Evenson) Danielson. They moved to Clayton, Wisconsin where Mildred attended school, graduating with the Clayton High School class of 1943. On July 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to Alex LaVern Amans and to this union four children were born, Darnell, Dennis, Alan and David. Mildred loved to travel when she was able. Playing cards and entertaining friends was something she enjoyed and she always served them her wonderful desserts. Most of all she loved her family. She enjoyed being a Mother and loved being a Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She could sit and rock her babies for hours and never tire of it. She worked for Fabri-tek for about 10 years before spending the rest of her life as a sweet and loving homemaker.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Alex Amans, her parents, Oscar and Edna Danielson, and her brother and sister-in-law Hilton and Lorraine Danielson. Her surviving family includes her daughter Darnell (Merlin) Dunham, Dennis (Sheila) Amans, Alan (Diane) Amans, and David (Pam) Amans; her grandchildren: Matt Dunham, Adam (Tarrah) Dunham, Jason (Stephanie) Amans, April (Dan) Boe, Casey Amans, Shannon Amans, Ryan Amans, Stephanie Amans and Branden Amans; great grandchildren: Alex Dunham, Ella Dunham, Olivia Dunham, Elaina Dunham, Adeline Amans, Eleanore Mildred Amans, Macie Boe and Blake Boe. She will be greatly missed by her family and all the people whose lives she has touched.

Mildred passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Willow Ridge Health Care Center in Amery, WI at the age of 89.   Visitation will be on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 4 to 7pm at the Williamson ~ White Funeral Home in Amery and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 28, 2014 from First Lutheran Church in Amery. Interment will be at the Amery Cemetery. Arrangements were made with the Williamson ~ White Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Amery, Wisconsin.
