Mildred Maye Jerdee was born on March 18, 1928 in Frederic, Wisconsin the daughter of Lester and Clara (Hansen) Pederson. After completing high school she worked in the County Superintendent's office. On June 18, 1955 she was united in marriage to Orin Jerdee. She enrolled at the University of Wisconsin in River Falls where she earned her teaching degree. Mildred was a first grade teacher for 32 years. She was a long time member of East Immanuel Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir for many years. Mildred always had pets in the house and enjoyed every one of them. Mildred liked the outdoors and many of the things it offered. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers; bird watching and the changing of the seasons. Mildred passed away at the Amery Hospital on Sunday evening, December 21, 2014 at the age of 86 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Orin. She is survived by several cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Amery. Visitation will be the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the East Immanuel Cemetery.
