Muriel Elaine Morgan Pfeifer, age 80, of Amery, WI went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marvel Morgan, her sisters Wanda, Janet, and son, Charles. Born in Minneapolis and obtained her education degree at Saint Cloud State University, and later attended River Falls gaining advanced degrees. She taught school for several years, retiring from a position teaching special education at Mahtomedi Middle School in the late nineties. After retirement, Muriel stayed very active with various organizations such as the Polk County Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Interfaith Caregivers and many other organizations. She is survived by four children: Todd (Lydia), Tom (Kathy), Tim, Tanya (Matthew) Hinton; eight grandchildren: Justin, Eric, Drew, Keith, Katlyn, River, Madison and Zeke; one sister, Kelly Graves and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1578 85 ^th Avenue, Co. Rd. F, Garfield Township, on Monday, March 24 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
