Norma Vivian Kimker, age 95 of Amery, WI passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Amery Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 27, 1916 in Alden Township, WI to Valdemar and Matte (Sass) Hansen. She attended school in Little Falls, WI. She then moved to St. Paul, MN where she met her husband, David O. Kimker. They were united in marriage in December of 1959 and made their home in St. Paul. In 1962 they moved to Seattle, WA and continued to live in the Seattle area. On May 3, 1973 Dave passed away. Norma continued to live in Seattle until she moved to live with her niece in Carson City, Nevada for a year. She moved back to make Amery her home about four years ago. She loved to knit, sew and crochet and enjoyed baking and made many cookies. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; one sister, Eveline Wittick; brothers, Carl Hansen, Irwin Hansen and Vincent Hansen; step sister Sylvia Anderson and step brother, Clarence Peterson. She is survived by one brother, Val (Yvonne) Hansen, a sister, Bernice (Lyle) Fox, step sister Mae Hansen and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Little Falls Lutheran Church in Little Falls, WI. A visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Kent, WA. Pallbearers are Billy Weber, David Fox, Duane Peterson, Jake Reigel, Rodney Peterson and Donnie Anderson.
Services will also be held on Tuesday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn, Washington. There will be a visiting time for the hour prior to the service at the church. Price Helton Funeral Chapel is assisting the family in Auburn, Washington.
