Olga C. Wenberg was born on August 5, 1921 in Black Brook Township of Polk County, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Eden and Alice (Hougdahl) Wenberg. When she was 4 years old her family moved to Apple River Township. She became a member of Balsam Lutheran Church and throughout her life has been an active member. She worked at Alcan in Centuria sewing coats for many years. She shared the family home with her brother Wilfred until January of 2009 when they moved to Evergreen Village in Amery. Olga sewed many of her own clothes and was an avid quilter. She was a member of the Apple River Homemakers for many years. She remained at Evergreen Village after Wilfred's death in 2010 and just this past week lived at Golden Age Manor in Amery where she passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the age of 92 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings: Arthur, Carl, Edgar, Wilfred, Marie Ostenson and Bertha Pederson. Left to mourn are nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 12 noon from Balsam Lutheran Church in rural Amery. Visitation will be for the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the East Immanuel Cemetery.
