Patricia "Pat" Alexson, 77, passed away on April 22 at home in Amery, Wisconsin after a short struggle with cancer. She was born on April 14, 1939, in Durand, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Matilda (Weber) Notham. Pat attended UW-Eau Claire for two years on a scholarship, and worked in Milwaukee and later in St. Paul, where she met her husband, Charles "Charlie" Alexson. They had four children. Pat was a stay-at-home mom for most of her married life. She also worked at Arrow Building Center in Amery for several years. At the age of 50, she returned to school at UW-River Falls and earned a BA in English with a minor in art.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Francis Notham; and grandson, Izaac Hartmann.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Charlie, and her children, Lisa (Bob) Hartmann of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Clayton (Sue Stark) Alexson of Deerwood, Minnesota; Michael (Jackie) Alexson of Deer Park, Wisconsin; and Peter (Marie) Alexson of Homer, Alaska. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Frances Hartmann (Steve Katz), Heather Alexson, Elizabeth Alexson, Mikey Alexson, Katie Alexson, Mia Alexson, and Lake Alexson. Her surviving siblings are Donald Notham of Cudahy, Wisconsin; Kay Joslyn of Mount Dora, Florida; Charles Notham of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Janet Neuser of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; and brother-in-law Clifford Alexson of Andover, Minnesota.

Pat loved reading, gardening, walking with friends, and spending time with her family. She was an active volunteer in her children's activities including 4H and the Amery Youth Hockey Program. An excellent cook with an artistic eye, Pat created a comfortable home in the many different communities she and Charlie lived in over the years. She is remembered for her kindness and selflessness by her family and friends.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery on Saturday, April 30, at 1:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 12:00 PM and lunch following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Amery Area Public Library, 225 Scholl Ct. in Amery, WI 54001.
