Penny Kathrine Iwaszko (Herpst) 60, of Amery, WI, passed away peacefully at Amery Regional Hospital on October 22nd, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, friend, and wife and her presence will be deeply missed at home and in the community.
Penny was born in Amery, Wisconsin, on April 8, 1965, to Ivan Darrell and Darlene Herpst. Penny attended all of her years of school in Amery. She dedicated her life to her family and her passion for the public. Penny and Chris were married on August 30, 2003. Penny enjoyed life on a small farm south of Amery where she spent many hours involved with her children and their activities. Penny's biggest passion and love were her kids. Penny worked many different occupations throughout her life. All of which dealt with the public. Penny's love for people led her to bartending. Penny worked at several different establishments in the community. Spending her last 20 years working at the DN Campground north of Amery. Penny enjoyed serving, listening and sharing stories with her customers. Penny loved her people as she called them. She greeted everybody she came across with a hello, how are you, and a compliment such as, what a lovely blouse, shoes or pair of earrings you have on today. Her energy was always positive. Her smile and her laughter was infectious as she shared with everyone.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents Ivan Darrell and Darlene Herpst. By her son Zachary Herpst. Survived by her husband, Chris Iwaszko, son, Cameron Fina and daughter, Izabella Iwaszko. Siblings, Peter Herpst, Patricia (Edward) Kokoszka, Pamela (Eric) Elkin, Paul (Valerie) Herpst.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, WI. The funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery, with a visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at East Immanuel Cemetery in Amery.
