Ramona Lorraine Thomas (Sutherland) was born on September 19, 1928 to George and Sally Sutherland. She married Donald Max Thomas on July 30, 1948 and together they had four children. They resided in New Brighton, MN for 30 years before moving to Amery, Wisconsin in 1997. Left behind to celebrate her life are her son, Richard; daughters, Sandy (Tim) Forsythe and Debbie (Steve) Vincelli; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters; two sister in laws; four brother in laws and nieces and nephews. She passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011. Preceding her in death were her husband of 51 years, Donald and her son Terry. Ramona loved gardening and all kinds of flowers and birds. She also loved to golf and was very proud of her hole-in-one she made at the age of 68. She split her time between Apache Junction, Arizona and Amery for many years until she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She later suffered a heart attack and a stroke which made it impossible to travel any longer. We will miss her wisdom and her sense of humor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at First Lutheran Church in Amery. A visitation will be held an hour before the service at the church. A private family interment will be held at Morningside Memorial Gardens in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
