Raymond Henry Parnell was born on August 17, 1959 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in a home with his mother Ramona St. Sauver (Parnell) and father Henry Nevers. As a young child he lived in Sparks, Nevada and also St. Paul, Minnesota. Ray loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed being around his family and friends, but more than anything he loved his son Josh and watching him build and drive his demo derby cars. Raymond passed away at the Amery Hospital on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the age of 56.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ramona St. Sauver (Parnell) and Henry Nevers as well as one sister Mary Parnell. He is survived by his son Josh Parnell; brother: Bob (Amber) Parnell, sister Mada (Bob) Skare; nephews: Jeremiah (Laura) Jary and Joseph Parnell; nieces: Emerson Rae, Cali Rae, Ella Grace, Katherine Rae and Camille Maryellen. He also leaves "adopted" sons: Brad Easland and Codie Erickson, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church, 201 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, WI. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to services at the church from Noon until 1:00pm. The family will have a time of remembering and sharing stories of Ray at the home of Josh Parnell following services, everyone is welcomed.
