Raymond I White was born on March 12, 1924 in Emerald, Wisconsin. He was one of sixteen children born to Ernest and Anna (Albright) White. He grew up in rural Wisconsin and on August 13, 1958 he was united in marriage to Sandra M. Jantz and together they had three children. He spent most of his life working in construction as a concrete worker. After retiring it allowed more time for some of his hobbies. He was an accomplished woodworker and made lawn ornaments, bird houses and many other things. He enjoyed yard work and always kept his yard very nice. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed family time, especially with the children. Most recently he and Sandra lived in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. They were members of the Congregational Church in Amery where he also did volunteer work. Raymond died unexpectedly on Saturday morning April 3, 2010 at the Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Raymond was 86 years of age.
His parents and 14 siblings preceded him in death. Left to mourn are his wife Sandra; daughters: Carrie White and Lori Adams; son Randy (Lisa) White; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister Mary Viellieux, special niece Helen Gabrick as well as other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Williamson-WHite Funeral Home in Amery. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational Church in Amery at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 8, 2010 with Pastor Barry Schaefer officiating. Organist will be Chris Lindee. Casketbearers will be: Jim Jantz, Jim Dufualt, Andy Drane, Travis Adams, Tyler White and Michael Vennie. Interment of the Cremains will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
