Obituary

Robert Joseph Crawley passed away at the Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minnesota on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Amery, Wisconsin. There will be a time of visitation for the hour prior to the service at the church.

Robert Joseph Crawley was born in Albany, Minnesota on November 17, 1935. He was the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Lenarz) Crawley. He grew up in North St. Paul and graduated from the North St. Paul High School. Right after graduating he served in the United States Air Force. After completing his service he returned home and attended vocational school to become an electrician. He started working for Chicago Northwestern Railroad which eventually became Union Pacific Railroad. It was a career that spanned 40 years. On July 1, 1966 he was united in marriage to Judith Lynne Berry in St. Paul, Minnesota. They made their home in Landfall, Minnesota and then Hugo before having a home built in Stillwater, Minnesota where they have remained since. He was a member of the Electricians Union. Bob retired from the railroad in 2005. In his free time Bob enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He also tried his hand at woodcarving, mostly small figurines. Due to an injury he has been living at a nursing home since mid March. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Thomas and brother Joey. Left to mourn are his wife Judith; son Tim (Diane) Crawley; brother Patrick Crawley; sisters: Mary Yde, Sally Zabel and Ginger Willerton; half- brother Michael Crawley and half- sister Raven Sagstetter; step-father Harold Sinn; step grandchildren: Paul (Amy-Jo), Andy (Abby) and Amy Lundgren; step-great grandchildren Gavin, Jenna, Brady and Nola as well as other relatives and friends.
