Obituary

Robert L. "Bob" Johnson was born in River Falls, Wisconsin on November 9, 1946. He was one of four children born to Robert and Joyce (Deal) Johnson. His birth father passed away and Joyce was married to Dennis Seekins and together they raised the four children. He attended school in Amery and graduated with the class of 1964. He had enlisted in the National Guard before his graduation and served six years in the guard from 1963 to 1969. Bob was united in marriage to Bonnie Marie Lillie and together they had three children. He worked at Andersen Windows in Bayport for 34 years and they made their home in Clayton, Wisconsin. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had wonderful gardens and took imaculate care of his lawn. Bob was also an avid packer fan supporting them no matter what. He and Bonnie were lifetime members of the Richardson Sportsman Club. Bob died suddenly on Sunday December 26, 2010 at the Amery Regional Medical Center in Amery.
Bob was preceded in death by his birth father Robert Johnson and parents, Dennis and Joyce Seekins as well as one brother Dick Johnson. Left to mourn are his wife Bonnie; children: Troy (Cindy) Johnson, Dawn Groehler and Travis (Kaija) Johnson; brother Dan (Regis) Johnson; sister Darla (David) Luke; four grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends, and his faithful canine companion, Reggie.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from Faith Lutheran Church in Clayton, Wisconsin with Pastor Margaret Grant officiating. Vocalist will be LeAnn Selle. Organist will be Carol Van Heuklom. Casketbearers will be John Ahlm, Sid Thompson, Paul Flanigan, Don Kittelson, Gary Lillie and Steve Reindahl. Honorary casketbearers will be: Dan Johnson, Darla Luke, Travis Johnson, Leah Johnson-Freer, Troy Johnson, Dustin Groehler, Bryce Johnson, Brock Johnson, Rick Kirk, Amanda Groehler and Laverne Reindahl. Interment will be at the Marsh Lake Cemetery in rural Clayton.
