Robert Allen Kopka, age 87, of North Branch, Minnesota, passed away on May 12, 2024. He was born on April 12, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Robert lived in Elmdale, Minnesota until the age of six years old, from there he moved to Merriam Park where he attended Saint Marks grade school and graduated from Central High School. He furthered his education at the University of Minnesota.

During his younger years, Robert worked as a caddy at the Town and Country Club, saving his earnings to fulfill his passion for traveling. He loved traveling to Florida and made many road trips in his convertible.

Robert served in the United States Navy, he loved sharing stories of the planes he flew on, and the adventures he had with his crew. After his time in the Navy, Robert pursued his love for the outdoors and started his own landscaping and snowplowing business.

On July 3, 1965, Robert married his beloved wife, Kathy. In 1975, Bob and Kathy moved their family from Highland Park to North Branch where they raised their three children and shared a loving life together for 60 years.

Robert loved hunting and fishing, which included annual fishing trips to Mille Lacs Lake with his son, brother-in-law and nephew. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for playing slots at the casino and was an avid reader. Robert also delighted in putting on firework shows for his loved ones. Bob always had a knack for making friends wherever he went. He was known to say, "Everyone knows me."

Robert is survived by his wife Kathy, his three children, Kelly, Nick, (Melissa), and Laura. He also leaves behind his two beloved grandchildren, Jack (10 yrs) and Alex (8 yrs), with whom he spent cherished time, creating many wonderful memories.
