Robert (Bob) Emerson Lee, age 87 of Amery, Wisconsin passed away at Willow Ridge Health Care Center in Amery on Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was born on May 23, 1927 to Walter B. and Cora (Emerson) Lee. Bob attended Amery schools and graduated in 1945. He was a proud member of the undefeated football team of 1943. On August 28, 1950, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Jean Peterson, and to this union three children, MaryJo, Robert Jr. and Claire were born. Bob and Phyllis owned and operated Lee's Floor Covering for many years in Amery. Bob was a member of the Sons of Norway, Amery Lions Club and a member of First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Packers, gardening and traveling. He was very generous and often provided rides or help for elderly neighbors when they needed it. He was a strong supporter of the Cancer Walk. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Walter B. and Cora; wife, Phyllis; son, Robert Jr.; brother, Walter V. Lee, and sisters, Ardyce Burke and Virginia Lee. He is survived by his daughters, MaryJo (Dwaine) VanHouten and Claire Lee; daughter in law, Melissa Lee; grandchildren, Jake (Ashley) and Kristy (Joe) Williamson, Luke (Jenny) and three great grandchildren, Mason, Odin and Alice. Bob is also survived by a sister, Mercedes "Toots" Davis, and special friend, Shirley Belisle, as well as other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from First Lutheran Church in Amery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, as well as the hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
