Robert L. Orton of Glenwood City, Wisconsin was reunited with his wife Evelyn, on Thursday, April 13. He was blessed with 84 joyful years of life filled with love from family and friends who cherished him dearly before his departure. Robert was born on July 14th 1932 in Revillo, South Dakota to parents, Andrew and Veta (Rodgers) Orton.
As a young child his family moved to southern California and a few short years later to Wisconsin. Robert served in the United States Navy, during the Korean War.

He met Evelyn Peterson and the two wedded on July 27, 1957. Their union in marriage would be blessed with two daughters, Brenda and Wanda and a son Brad with two generations of grandchildren and almost 57 years of marriage.

In 1970, Robert and Evelyn moved to a farm in Glenwood City, WI from Circle Pines, Minnesota. Bob retired from Spencer Kellogg Linseed Oil Plant after 42 years of employment. His enjoyments included his farm, collecting Allis Chalmers tractors, playing cards, bowling, watching wrestling and spending time with his children.

Robert is survived by his children; daughters, Brenda (Carey) Kerr and Wanda (Joe) Jackelen; son, Brad (Michele) Orton; grandchildren, Barry (Gena) Ketchum, Brad Ketchum, Laura Kerr, Monica (Scott) Miller, Gina (Kyle) Monicken, Kayla (Joe) Best, Bo Orton, Brock Orton; great-grandchildren, Derek, Samantha and Ryan Ketchum, Jack, Reid and Ella Miller, Luke and Ava Monicken; sisters, Clara and Venita; a brother, Alfred; as well as many other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by parents; wife, Evelyn, brothers, Ernest, Everett, Lauren; sisters, Nina, Mary, Doris and Velores.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Williamson- White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue N. Amery, Wisconsin with a memorial service to celebrate Robert's life at 7 PM. Robert will be laid to rest at Deronda Cemetery in Deronda, Wisconsin.
