Ronald Lynn Dorn Sr. was born in Amery, Wisconsin on April 7, 1951 the son of Clarence and Alice (Anderson) Dorn. He grew up in Amery and graduated from the Amery High School in 1969. He served in the United States Air Force from December of 1970 until being discharged in February of 1978. During his time in the Air Force, he attained the rank of Sargent and was stationed in Thailand and also at Travis Air Force Base in California. When he was discharged, he attended vocational training and became a Mill Wright. One of his local projects he was part of was Valley Fair Amusement Park. He was a member of the VFW and Mill Wright Union 584. He was an enthusiast about cars and motorcycles. Ron enjoyed riding his Harley and driving his muscle cars. He died at his home in rural New Richmond, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 63 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Randall. Surviving family members include his daughter, Paula Hyde and sons, Craig Dorn and Ron Dorn Jr. He also leaves 14 grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at the East Lincoln Cemetery. Military Honors will be rendered as well.
