Roseann Lindner, age 89, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away, in her home surrounded by loved ones on September 27, 2024.
Roseann (Rosie) was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 4, 1935 to Alice and Clarence Barrett. Rosie would grow up and attend school in Minnesota. At the age of 15, she met Albert Lindner. It was "love at first sight" and they later married on May 4, 1952 in St. Paul. From then on, Roseann and Albert started their lives in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Together they welcomed 5 children.
From Lake Elmo, they would continue their lives in Deer Park, Wisconsin, where they moved in November of 1965. Together, as a family, they worked their farm until moving again to Amery, Wisconsin. It is there that they continued their (Al's) passion for hobby farming. They would have this farm from 1985 – 2005.
Aside from farming, Rosie would go on to work at Willow Ridge as a Dietary Aide for 5 years. If you were to ask Rosie the favorite part of that job she would tell you "How happy they looked when you gave them their food." She also spent some time working as a dishwasher at the Dairy Barn.
Rosie was/is very loved by all who were blessed to know her. There wasn't a day you wouldn't find her rocking away in her chair. She loved visitors and often enjoyed visits from her children and grandchildren. She will most certainly be remembered for her hospitality, giving spirit, and loving heart. To remember some of Rosie's favorites, we like to think she's enjoying some of her favorite things in the world. Roseann loved to dance the Polka, listen to music, eat her sweets, and most of all, she loved her Albert. While she will be terribly missed, when asked how she would like to be remembered Rosie replied "for my kindness and willingness to help." But with the mark she left on our hearts, we are sure to remember much more.
Roseann is survived by: daughter, Dorothy Mesecher (Mike); son, Albert Lindner Jr.; daughter, Denise Berrier (Dave); son, Clarence Lindner (Cindy); son, James Lindner. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, whom all loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lindner; mom, Alice Barrett; dad, Clarence Barrett; sisters, Baby Alice, Lois Pulver, Agnes Carlson, Jeanette Mackey; and brother, Clarence Barrett Jr.
The family of Roseann would like to extend our sincerest thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their care.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 with a short service at the Amery Cemetery starting at 11am. Following the cemetery, there will be a light lunch at the Amery Senior Center. The family would love to use this time to reminisce and share stories of our beloved Rosie.
