Rosli Dasler was born in Bern, Switzerland on January 22, 1922 the daughter of Walter and Louise (Brandt) Zwahlen. She came to the United States with her family as a young girl and settled in Black Earth, Wisconsin. She went to high school in Black River Falls, Wisconsin and went on to the University of Wisconsin in Madison to become a Registered Nurse. While working in the Emergency Room at University Hospital she met Herbert Dasler while he was a medical school student. They were married in Madison on September 23, 1944 and together they had four children. They lived in Lake Mills, Wisconsin for a short time before moving to Amery, Wisconsin in 1947. They lived on North Twin Lake for many years. Rosli was active in the Amery Community. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and part of its Ladies Aid, was in Birthday Club, Red Hat Society, and the Amery Hospital Auxiliary. She and Herb enjoyed traveling together, hunting, fishing, and skiing. She was also very proud of being a Gourmet Cook and enjoyed preparing special meals for family and friends. When the lake home became a chore to care for they built a home in Pondhurst in Amery that they enjoyed for several years. Rosli eventually moved to River Bend assisted living and then to Willow Ridge Healthcare. Rosli served as resident council president there. She passed away at Willow Ridge on Saturday December 14, 2013 at the age of 91 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dr. Herbert Dasler and daughter Susan. Her surviving family members are her daughters: Wendy (Ron) Johnson of Corvallis, OR; Emilie (Wayne) Lee of Star Prairie, WI; son Michael Dasler of St. Paul, MN; 3 grandchildren, who fondly referred to her as "Granny Rosi", as well as other relatives and friends.


Funeral services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Amery on Saturday December 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a visitation at the Williamson-White Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and for the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
