Obituary

Ruby King Jorgenson was born on March 11, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Edward and Pearl (DeSalles) Warren. She was united in marriage to Scott King, on February 29, 1944 when he was home on leave from the service. When he returned home they lived in St. Louis for a short time before moving to Durand, Wisconsin and then to Richfield, MN. She worked for Honeywell from 1963 to 1983. During that time she belonged to the Honey Belles. They bowled and did other activities together as a group of employees. In retirement they moved to Amery in 1983. Ruby loved gardening, flowers and vegetables, which she canned for their use. She also enjoyed fishing. Scott King preceded her in death in 1993. After living alone for five years she was united in marriage to Trevor Jorgenson in 1998. As her health declined Ruby moved to Willow Ridge Healthcare where she passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years Scott King, husband of 12 years Trevor Jorgenson, and sisters: Jewell, Pearl and Opal. Left to mourn are her daughters: Sharon (Clyde) Payne and Karen Tuma; four grandchildren: Scott Payne, Russ Payne, Andrew Tuma and Christine Tuma as well as other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life Community Church in Amery with visitation at the church the hour before the service. Burial will be at the Amery Cemetery.
