Russell H. Viebrock was born on March 26, 1923 in Farmington, Wisconsin, the son of John and Jeanette Viebrock. He attended school in Osceola, WI. Russell married Luella (Johnson) Viebrock on July 1, 1944 in Farmington, WI. To this union three sons were born. Russell served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1947 as a medic and received two purple hearts. Russell enjoyed Camp Delta, his favorite hunting and fishing place. He enjoyed bowling and played on a bowling team. Russell was active with the Lions Club and Amery Fire Department. He was employed at Twin Lakes Dairy, Land O' Lakes, and the U.S. Postal Service. Russell passed away on December 29, 2011 at the Willow Ridge Health Care Center in Amery. Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Luella Viebrock, infant son, Russell Jr., two brothers, Arvid and Marvin Viebrock and sister, Gladys Getschel. Left to mourn are sons, Tom (Carmella) Viebrock of Dresser, WI and Bruce Viebrock of Rice Lake, WI. He also leaves five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Amery, WI. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Williamson~White Funeral Home in Amery, as well as the hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Amery Cemetery.
