Ruth M. Lewis Jackelini was born March 13, 1948 in Los Angeles, Calif. She moved to Menomonie, WI in 2002, and later, moved to Amery in 2007 to live with her daughter and her family. She passed away at Regions Hospital on July 31, 2014 due to heart and lung complications.
Ruth worked in the insurance industry like her family all did for many years. She was an avid crocheter and made several hats and scarves for children that were in the hospital. She enjoyed computer scrapbook designs. She loved Steven King books and movies, and also loved crime dramas and Harry Potter movies. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, which she enjoyed going to when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Richard and Ellen and her brother, Dave Skelton and her best little dog, Maggie.
Left to mourn are her mom, Ruth Lewis of OR; siblings, Randy (Linda) Lewis, of CA; Gordy (Sue) Lewis of TN; Larry (Linda) Lewis of CA; Lynn (George) Mauricio of CA and Scott Skelton of OR. Ruth is also survived by her children, Wendy (Mike) Wade of Amery, WI; Laura Hall of CA; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Beall, Tyler, Michael and Mallory Wade, Myrandah Rhodes, Nadeyah and Elijah Andersson, and her best friend, Karin (Adam) Herd of West Bend, WI. She will also be missed by many friends, nieces, nephews, and many others lives that she has touched.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Williamson - White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, WI. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to services from 4 to 5pm on Thursday.
