Sandra Marie Welk, age 74, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed away on December 5, 2023.

Sandra was born on March 6, 1949 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Clarence and Betty (Schaebelen) Cherry. She was united in marriage to Mark Welk on October 14, 1977. The couple made their home in the Centuria area.  Sandra later moved to the Amery Hi-Rise and lived there for a long period of time. Recently, Sandra had moved into a nursing home in Centuria where she resided until her passing.

Being the very social person that she was, Sandra loved talking with people and just being around them in general. She also enjoyed crocheting, watching movies with her son Mark, and she loved cooking.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mark, and her brothers, Glenn and David Cherry. She is survived by her sons, Stanley (Kimberly) Cherry and Mark Welk Jr., and her grandchildren, Christopher, Steven, Brian Kolve and Jeffery Java, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin. There will be a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Balsam Lake Cemetery following services.
