Sheldon Aloysius Minor was born in Dunn County, Wisconsin the son of Robert Roy and Alvina (Larson) Minor. His family lived near Clear Lake, Wisconsin and he attended Clear Lake High School. He served in the United States Air Force from March 8, 1955 until November 20, 1958. While in the service he met Kimiko Midorikawa and they were married in Tokyo on January 13, 1958. After his discharge they moved back to the United States ending in rural Clayton, Wisconsin where they have made their home. Clayton Cheese days always saw Sheldon driving a car in the demolition derby. Sheldon did construction work in the area for many years and after retiring from construction he did small engine repair. During his early years he enjoyed trout fishing in the area. Shorty really enjoyed camping with their good friends Ken and Yvonne Wurtinger Family. Sheldon passed away at his home on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the age of 84.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Gloria Minor and Roberta Ploszay. Surviving family members include his wife Kimiko; brothers: Elroy Minor and Dewayne Minor; sister Joyce Szobody and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at the Williamson-White Funeral Home on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. There will be visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
