Steven Karl Lindahl was born on June 15, 1959 in Amery, Wisconsin, the son of Donald and Diana Lindahl. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith. He grew up near Dresser, WI and graduated from St. Croix Falls High School. As a young man he enjoyed fishing and painting. Steven was best known for his love of the outdoors. In all four seasons, Steven found a reason to get out in the woods from harvesting maple syrup in spring to hunting and tracking wild game through the winter. His love of hunting took him on many hikes and explorations. He was a member of the Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association and was very active in promoting youth hunts. He worked for Trap Rock in Dresser and Royal Concrete Pipe in Stacy, Minnesota. He operated heavy equipment for Gille Construction in Amery and most recently was employed by Antczak Construction. Steven lived in Grantsburg and Frederic before settling in Nye, Wisconsin for about 15 years. Hillsdale, Wisconsin has been his home for the last 10 years. Steven was diagnosed with melanoma and in his battle with cancer spent a short time at Golden Age Manor in Amery before his death on July 25, 2014 at the age of 55 years.
His father, Donald preceded him in death. His surviving family members include his son, Andy Lindahl of Amery and his three grandchildren: Kylie, Maxwell, and Xavier; his mother Diana Lindahl of Danbury; brother Scott Lindahl of Osceola; sister Sheila Lindahl of St Croix Falls as well as other relatives and friends.


Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Williamson-White Funeral Home in Amery with visitation the hour before the service. A private family burial will take place at Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery.
