Thomas G. Conover was born to William & Rita Conover July 29th, 1953 in Minneapolis, MN. He fell asleep in death February 25th, 2025 in St. Croix, WI at age 71.

Thomas is survived by his wife Alice; his children Michael Conover (spouse, Jennifer), Nicholas Conover, Mary Williams; his siblings Anne Shea, Margaret Peterson, Paul Conover (spouse, Debbie), Lisa Konicek Lee (spouse, Thomas); grandchildren Cyrilla Conover, Azariah Conover, Eloise Conover, Suzanne Conover & Arya Conover; his wife's mother Denise Schneider, his wife's siblings Joseph Schneider (spouse, Kristin) and Janet Duncombe (spouse, Grahm), and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rita F. Conover-Wilson, Rita's husband Wayne W. Wilson, his father William C. Conover, William's wife Elaine Conover, and his brother-in-law Michael Shea.

Thomas Conover graduated from Eisenhower High School in Hopkins, MN. He married Alice C. Schneider on July 12th, 1975 in Golden Valley, MN. He went to college at the U of M.  He started Conover & Conover, Inc. in 1983 and worked as a computer programmer, analyst, and business consultant for over 20 years. He became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1995 and loved studying the Bible and discussing its message of hope with neighbors, friends, and relatives.

Thomas was a beloved husband and father. He enjoyed reading science fiction, and doing experiments. He and Alice met at the U of M in Biology 101…even though they were both in the wrong classroom! Alice married Tom because he was a dreamer. He built an electric car of his own design, had designs to build a geo-dome, and later incorporated geothermal heating and cooling into the home he and Alice built in Somerset, WI. He enjoyed work and hobbies that were mentally stimulating, like working at Computer Land and founding their Apple school in California. He loved photography, especially taking pictures of nature along the Apple River. He had a love of fishing, like on Big Lake at Rita's cabin, and Lake Mille Lacs, and could entice almost any fish to bite. He savored his travel adventures with Alice. After retiring from computer programming, he ran physics experiments in the basement -being fascinated by energy production using fusion. He also enjoyed playing games with family & friends. He loved swimming throughout his life, becoming a Jr lifeguard at age 9, and in later years floating down the river with family and friends. As a grandfather he always made the kids feel special with smoothies and popcorn and hand-selected movies.

Thomas Conover's memorial talk will be delivered by Jack Malluege at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1303 210th Ave., New Richmond, WI 54017. There will be pictures and memories displayed before and after.

After the memorial there will be visiting and refreshments at the Star Prairie Town Hall at 2118 Cook Dr., Somerset, WI 54025 (about 5 minutes west of KH).
