Obituary

Thomas D. Weaver passed away in his home in Amery on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, 4 years to the day after his wife Margot passed away at home.
Tom was born to Victor and Alice (Baker) Weaver in Buffalo Center, Iowa on Feb. 19, 1941, the second of five children. As a child, he moved with his family to Amery, WI. He graduated from Amery High School in 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Germany, which is where he met and married Margot Eich in Wolfgang on Aug. 10, 1962. After being honorably discharged from the army in 1963, he, Margot and young son James moved from Germany to Amery, WI, where they had two more sons, David and Robert and a daughter Monica. Tom loved fishing, working on computers, playing guitar and harmonica and listening Roger Miller albums. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his children; Jim (Nancy King) of Oronoco, MN, Dave of Minneapolis, MN, Robb (Lois) of Chippewa Falls, WI and Monica (Matt) Swank of Amery, WI; grandchildren Heather, Katie, Mary, Amanda, Brandon and Justin; Brother Jerry (Elaylle) Weaver of Graham, WA; sisters-in-law Paula (Ron) Sutton of St. Louis Park, MN, Amalia (Wayne) Springer of Martinez, GA; brothers-in-law Alwin Eich of Bonn, Germany and Karl-Heinz (Ruth) Eich of Ruppertshutten, Germany; and 21 nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Germany.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Margot in 2008; parents Victor and Alice Weaver; siblings Betty, Donald and Richard; and four nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at the Williamson-White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, WI. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Amery Cemetery.
