Troy fought a tough cancer battle for the past 6 years. Troy passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026 at 8:03 pm with family by his side. Troy is finally pain free. Fly free baby brother!

Troy was born on August 14, 1974, in Sacramento, California, to James and Sandra Lange. In his early years, he enjoyed playing baseball and soccer, acting in theatrical productions, and spending time camping and fishing. As a teenager, Troy moved to Amery, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Amery High School in 1992.

Troy had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He loved winning at cribbage, fishing, cooking for others, having a cold one at The Mix Up, and gathering around a warm bonfire with friends and family. Throughout his life, he held a variety of jobs, but many will remember him best for managing the floor at Turtle Lake Casino and for his time at Lake Magnor Store, where he was always ready with a friendly face and a familiar favorite for the locals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sandra Lange, and his sister, Heather Lange.

Troy will be deeply missed by his partner, Denise Weathers; his sister, Tanya Lange; his brother, Todd Lange; his nephew, Koehler Lange; his stepmother, Marie Lange; and many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.

Troy's strength, humor, and kind spirit will be remembered.

His family will hold a small get together to share stories about Troy in the near future.
