Viola Albertson age 88, of Amery, WI passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Golden Age Manor in Amery.

Viola was born on January 4, 1927 to Martin and Emma (Ross) Johnson in Apple River Township. She attended grade school at the Apple River Park thru 8th grade and then attended Amery High School for 3.5 years until she was needed to stay home and help on the folks farm. Viola picked pickles and beans as well as babysat until she went to Doughboy Rations where she packed the meal rations for the service men until they closed. After working at Doughboy, she worked at various places which included Delhers cafe, Neilson's grocery store, and Christiansons Variety store. Viola worked at Fabri Tek for seventeen years until it closed. She started at Golden Age Manor as a full time housekeeper, and ended up as Head of housekeeping until her retirement in 1992 after seventeen years. On September 27, 1947 she married Vernon Harry Albertson at Balsam Lutheran Church.Vi was also a member of Our Saviors Lutheran church for many years. When Vi was not spending time with her family members, she enjoyed time with her many close friends going out for lunch, dinners, or just going for a drive.

Viola is survived by a son, Donald (Marie) Albertson; a grandson, Troy Busick, of Sarona, WI; two brothers, Alan and Ansel Johnson of Amery and sister Joann Johnson (Larry) of Prairie Du Sac, WI and Many nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Vernon; parents, brothers, Martin and Virgil Johnson; sisters, Eleanore Buhr and June Peterson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 26, 2015 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Amery with Pastor Keith Ruehlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday at the Williamson~White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North Amery, Wisconsin 54001. Interment will be held after the service at the Amery Cemetery.
