Warren G. Bristol was born on April 17, 1922 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Andrew Anton Bristol and Gertrude Gotzman. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Region's Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Warren served in WWII from November of 1942 to August of 1945 in the US Army Signal Corp. A fisherman of many years, Warren loved to fish on Balsam Lake and Lake Nipagon and Eskowie in Canada. He also traveled to Arizona to spend winters in the warm sunshine. Warren was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sarah (Jackie) Scott Bristol and two grandchildren, Dawn and Duane Berg. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Jeanne; his daughter, Sheryl (Carl) Holmgren of Balsam Lake, WI; two grandsons, John (Sarah) Verplank and Thomas (Heather) Verplank; four great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church in Balsam Lake. A visitation will be held the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Balsam Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church in Warren's name.
