Wil Amundson passed away November 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Alice (Husby) Amundson; siblings, Wilbur and Arlene and niece Lori Amundson. He is survived by loving and faithful companion, Kathy; brother, Larry (Donna) of Houlton, WI; sisters, Sharon (John) Handorf of Ham Lake, MN; Carol (Larry) Sylte of Neenah, WI; nieces and nephews, Jody (Pete) Lutgen, Janelle (Scott) Ebert, Kelly (Greg) Yocom, Ryan (Jill) Amundson, Stephen Sylte and Stephanie (Adam) Guden, many great nieces, great nephews, and many other loving family and friends. Wil lived in the Prairie Farm and Amery area his entire life. He was employed by Ducts, Fabri-Tec, Kroy Industries, DMA and Golden Age Manor Nursing Home. Wil enjoyed sitting around the campfire with his family and friends up north and at the farm and spending time with his friends at the hunting bus. He was an avid Packer, Badger, and Racing fan. Wil will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. His impact on those who had the privilege to know and work with him is everlasting. Our world is diminished by his death, but so deeply enriched by his life. His family would like to thank the quick action of the staff at Golden Age Manor, Amery Ambulance and 1st Responders, the medical team at Amery Hospital and a very special thank you for the wonderful care that he received at Regions Hospital. Also, heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family for all their love and support through this very difficult time. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm at the Williamson ~ White Funeral Home, 222 Harriman Avenue North, Amery, WI and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, November 22, 2013 at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm, WI, with a luncheon to immediately follow. A private interment will take place at a later date.
